Greetings and blessings to all of you.  Our current climate is one of divisiveness and hate. That also includes within the Body of Christ. With the election being finalized pretty soon; have you noticed all the contention? Where is the Love? Christ has told us to love our enemies. How can that manifest itself when we are in a resentful unforgiving, I’m right… you are wrong attitude?  Agape love is not a mere suggestion, but a command.  In I John 4:7 God said, “Dear friends, let us love one another.” Love is the very DNA of every child of God. When we become Christians, His Spirit abides inside and is shown on the outside. The Bible says, “for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.” Saints if we do not practice what we believe, how will the unbeliever see the Christ in us? How are they going to know that we know and operate from our source which is the Living God? Even John said to the believers In I John 4:8, “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love”. To love is to do what pleases God, and loving each other is what pleases him most.  When we get rid of hostilities, resentments and unforgiveness we show that we know the Father’s heart and truly belong to Him. This Love that God expects of all of us is not easy. One reason that it is not easy because we humans have redefined the word LOVE.  We have watered it down to mechanical smiles, phony friendliness, and to never speak anything that might offend or the other extreme to be excessively nice. All of these actions may seem nice for a day or so but when real issues need to be discussed or the hard questions need to be asked then the relationship will not hold. Why? Because the relationship was superficial and had no depth. It was not authentic. Jesus said, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” He also said” Love each other as I have loved you.”  So in these divisive contentious times, let us all learn to love sacrificially. Let’s view LOVE through God’s eyes. It will show you and others who you and I really belong to. In I John 3:10 “This is how we know who are the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.”

With the Love of Christ
