Greetings and blessings to all of you. There is a question that needs to be asked in the times we are living in and that is ARE WE A SELF-DECEIVED PEOPLE? Do we know our true Spiritual condition?  We may look good to others as we pose for family pictures (church/at home) but that is just the outward appearance. The heart condition is not caught by the camera.  God confronted the church of Laodicea. In I Sam.16:7 “For the Lord sees not as man sees. For man looks on the outward appearance but the Lord looks on the heart.” God said, “I know your works that you are neither hot or cold. I wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are LUKEWARM and neither cold nor hot, I will spit you out of my mouth.” This is not a good thing. Stop and ask yourself right now, do you really belong to the Body of Christ?  Note the indicators. You may have joined a church at one point or you may have done religious things like take communion, tithe, attend events, even kneeled at the alter confessing a sin or more. You may have thought that most people including you were good, kind and virtuous and that should be sufficient especially if you compare yourself with others. Maybe you were indifferent to vital doctrines such as the atonement of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His deity or you appreciated them but your lifestyle indicated hypocrisy; such as living for self instead of living for Christ.  The doctrine of the cross is not necessarily denied, but it is not considered vital. Maybe you may admit that you are a sinner, but looking at your life and what you practice there seems to be no hatred for sin. Sin for the lukewarm professing Christians is not as Christ sees it. And to my amazement it appears that no attention is paid to the fact that judgement will fall upon the one who practice sin on a daily. The indifference of the lukewarm person makes it very hard to convince them they need to repent and surrender to Christ. Why? Because he/she is self-satisfied, feeling blessed, arrogant, self-deceived, sanctimonious, comfortable, proud, self-sufficient and religious. If any of this describes any of you it is not too late to repent and give your life fully to Christ before it is too late for you. God must possess you and you must become that clay that the Potter can mold into His image then use for His honor and Glory. Isa.64:8 Surrender to Him!
