Greetings and blessings to all of you. I am very concerned about what is going on in our city streets and around the globe….Racial Unrest. Is this something new? Of course not. Historically, there has been racial unrest since time began. Why? Because human beings feel more comfortable operating in the flesh…not in the Spirit. Racial Unrest comes from disliking another person based on skin color, financial status, appearance (old/young, pretty/ugly, short/tall) education, whatever. But God, He has stepped in and gave us wisdom in the Scriptures as to how to behave. For example, God has said, “LOVE COVERS A MULTITUDE OF SINS”. God also has said, “In Jonah 3:8-10 “Let everyone turn from his evil way and from the violence that is in his hands. Who knows? God may turn and relent and turn his fierce anger so that we may not perish” And our favorite in Matt. 22:37-40 “ You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF.” Because we are human, we are not able to do that without the help of the Holy Spirit. So, the people who are initiating and involving themselves in the Racial Unrest is not being obedient to the Word of God. Gal. 5:16 says, “walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” That is why the Body of Christ has to step up our prayer life. We as Saints who know the Truth (Christ) we must begin sharing the love of Christ to the unbelievers. The answer to this unrest is Jesus and His Love. Until we learn to Love like Christ there will be all kinds of unrest in our world. We have to begin loving the “unbelievers” with the passion of Paul for His people the Jews. He said,” I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. For I wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people those of my own race the people of Israel.” Saints we are born with a sinful nature and unless we become Born Again with a new nature, that is a spirit led nature you and I could find ourselves in the flesh hating people who are different than ourselves. So, let LOVE begin with the Body of Christ…to be that example to the unrest that is going on.
