Greetings and blessings to all of you and a Happy New Year. Christmas Day has come and gone…but how has the whole ordeal left you? I mean the everlasting fantastic Gift that has been given to us? What are we to do with what has taken place?  In Luke 2:8-20 to paraphrase…That night in the field the shepherds were shocked to see and hear angels saying to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior the Messiah the Lord has been born today in the city of Bethlehem, the city of David. After the initial shock wore off the shepherds replied, “Let’s go to Bethlehem let us see this thing that has happened which the Lord has told us about.”  After seeing Him in the manger the shepherds told everyone what had happened and what the angels had said to them about this child.  All who heard the shepherds’ story were astonished. But Mary kept all these things in her heart and thought about them often. The shepherds went back to their flocks glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen.” The shepherds responded by telling everyone what they seen and heard. Sound likes evangelism to me. I wonder would we have done the same? Are we doing that today? Are we telling everyone the “Good News”?   Do we have that faith to believe that our long-awaited Savior has come to redeem us for eternal life?  You and I can do it. Today, tomorrow, whenever, we simply need to tell what we know to be true. That you are a sinner that needed a Savior and He has come. Talk about Jesus. Tell who he is and what He has done for you. Then invite them to come to Christ just as you did. Mary pondered. Do you ponder? Pondering is hard work. It means to take events as you have laid them out in your memory and then to go beneath the surface to try to understand what it all means and why it happened the way it did.  The time after Christmas is the best time to ponder what God has been teaching you? To look back over the12 months and consider the ways of God in your life and how are you going to respond this time? Being diligent, quiet and focused.

With the Love of Christ
