Greetings and blessings to you all.  The Bible is very important to me as a believer and follower of Christ. I believe that we will all profit from the Scriptures with an increasing confidence in Christ if we read and meditate then apply the Word of God in our lives daily.  Spiritual Maturity comes as we “walk and talk” with God.  There is “little faith” (Matt 14:3) and “great faith” (Matt. 8:10); there is the “full assurance of faith” (Heb.10:22); and there is a “trusting in the Lord with all your heart” faith (Prov. 3:5). My point is.. the stronger and steadier our faith the more the Lord Jesus is honored. And the more you and I will mature in the faith. “Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.” (Eph. 4:14) Christ cannot be trusted at all unless He is known and the better He is known the more we will trust Him. How can you know Him if you do not read His Word? The Christian life is a walk of faith (2 Cor. 5:7) and that means a continual progress, an increasing deliverance from doubts and fears; a fuller assurance that He is real and can be trusted.  The Word of God is alive. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. (John 1:1) In the OT King Belshazzar had Daniel interpret a cryptic message from God. It said, “You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting?”  Will God say that about you?  Where are you found wanting?  All you have to do to find out is to look to Jesus and ask yourself how much have you been conformed to His likeness. Do you have his meekness? His humility? His gracious spirit?  Or do we ( like) Paul consider ourselves “the worst of sinners” and the least of all saints (1 Tim. 1:15)? Can we say with him “for to me to live is Christ and to die is gain?”  If we read the Word and let the Word live in us we will have a deeper faith, a bold zealous spirit and a fervent love for Christ and his church. Finally, for the Jewish people Tuesday was a solemn day of repentance called YOM KIPPUR.....like them let us have a YOM KIPPUR each day.
