Greetings and blessings to you all. Reading the Bible has to be on our “to do list” as a top priority. Our Bible is “Biblical Instructions Before Leaving Earth”. Our Bible is our Authority. Satan does not care for us because we continue as a lifestyle contributing all the Honor all the glory and all the power to God our Father. It is absolutely necessary to be under the authority of the Word of God. Rebellion was the cause of Satan’s fall. The former archangel overreached God’s authority, competed with God, thus becoming an enemy of God. Saints did you know that disobeying the Word of God is disobeying the authority of God? Did you know that one of the principles of Satan is ‘violating God’s authority?’ Once again… our authority comes from the Bible. The greatest of God’s demands on man is not for him to bear the cross, to serve, make offerings, or deny himself. The greatest demand is for him to obey. “Obedience is better than sacrifice.” Why is that? Because even in sacrifice there can be the element of self-will. For authority to be expressed there must be submission. If there is to be submission, self needs to be excluded as well as self-centeredness and self-righteousness. This will be only possible when one lives in the Spirit. Our Bible lets us know if we are “walking under the authority” of our Lord and Savior. Our Bible will help us in “self-examination”. The Bible says, “If we were properly evaluating ourselves we would not be judged, BUT when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord, so that we may not be condemned with the world.” (I Cor. 11:31-32) Also in Gal. 6:7 it says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” God knows the heart of man and because He does…in His justice and love He cannot and will not allow sin to reign in the lives of his children without consequences simultaneously shaping and molding you into the image of Christ. Recall “yet you Lord are our father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all work of your hand.” so say in Isaiah 64:8 So begin judging yourself with the Bible. If you have a problem with authority know you are in rebellion against the Almighty…and who can win an argument with God? With the Love of Christ First Lady Vivian C. Currie Pastor ALC
